Additional Reiki Symbols Course  Prerequisite course is Reiki Two or Reiki Master Training.  There are additional Reiki Symbols that, once lost thousands of years ago, are being recovered.  These Symbols have specific healing purposes and intentions, and very powerfully focus the Reiki healing energy.  Students will be trained in their uses and attuned to these Symbols.  This is a very helpful continuing education course in Reiki.

 

Anatomy and Physiology This course will provide the student with a comprehensive understanding of the human body as related to bodywork and energywork that will exceed the requirements for professional certification.  Students will learn structural organization, anatomical position, directional terms and regional names, principal systems of the body, and origins and insertions of muscles.  Information will be taught through lectures, experiential exercises and creative visualization techniques.  Students must be able to use correct anatomical terms and understand anatomy in order to work with medical, physical therapy and chiropractic health professionals.

 

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is an energetic healing modality that has been used by healers for millennia.  Aromatherapy involves the application of essential oils derived from plants to correct various physical and energetic imbalances. The student will learn about the history of aromatherapy, how it affects the brain, the guidelines for and contraindications against using aromatherapy. Students will gain a working knowledge and understanding of this highly effective healing modality.

 

Art of Manifesting

Manifestation is the conscious act of bringing a thought or energy shift into existence in physical reality.  The Universe is waiting to fulfill our needs, but an individual needs to be clear and focused in their desire and be willing to receive their highest good.  This course addresses self-esteem and self-acceptance issues so that the student may open their energetic flow to allow manifestation to occur.  Students will learn about the power of their words, affirmations, visualizations, acting “as if,” and accepting good experiences into their lives as part of this process. Students will collectively work on a manifestation project where they will support each other to make their dreams a reality.

 

Basic Touch (Circulatory Massage)  This course gives energyworkers an introduction to basic massage techniques that complement energywork.  This course includes techniques from: three basic Swedish massage strokes (effleurage, petrissage and fanning) and several percussion techniques (chopping, cupping, etc.), Shiatsu (acupressure and Passive Joint Movement), Tui Na (fingerspringing, rolling), elements of Thai massage (stretching, compression, lines of the leg), appropriate touch boundaries and proper draping.

 

Business Management  

This course will train students how to use the proper charting, marketing, bookkeeping, and technical methods in business while providing them with the distinctions necessary to successfully and effectively set up, market and operate their healing practice. We will teach students how to engage in appropriate business communication and pertinent legal and ethical issues in business.  Students will be given checklists that will enable them to use our system easily and effectively in their practice.  This class includes a hands-on project to develop your practice, step-by-step, so that you feel confident about creating and generating a successful business practice.

 

Circulatory and Swedish Massage

Circulatory Massage will train the student to provide a high-quality Swedish massage via a basic understanding of Swedish massage techniques, human physical anatomy, indications and contraindications for massage, draping techniques, legal ramifications, client communication and proper body mechanics.

 

Client/Therapist Communication  Prerequisite course is Circulatory Massage or HighSelf Resonance Therapy Level One.

In this course, students gain an in-depth understanding of the communication skills necessary in a successful client/therapist relationship.  We will include practice-oriented communication (such as gathering client history and evaluating results through writing, pre-session communication--the introductory phone conversation and intention of the work, developing rapport, in-session communication (including building trust, establishing therapist boundaries, session dialoguing), handling conflicts, client compliance issues, post-session communication (follow-up phone calls, setting appointments), and ethics.

 

Client Case Management

This class will teach students how to take clients through a regimen that will promote wellness, from initial assessment and evaluation, developing a client/healer relationship, choosing modalities for treatment, dealing with resistance and evaluating results of treatment.  Students will be presented with working case studies as a guide in this hands-on class.  Discussion groups will be used as the primary method for understanding how to work with the challenges of bringing clients along the healing journey.  This is a directed course of study where the students will work with selected clients while observing and charting their progress. 

 

Client Protocol Development   Prerequisite courses are the C.E.T. or M.T. certificates.

This course teaches students how to use therapeutic skills they have developed to create a customized treatment plan for their clients.   Students will learn how to recognize areas of disharmony in a client in order to properly treat them and make recommendations.  Students will also learn to refer clients to other practitioners if their health issues lie outside their scope of practice.  Students will be supervised by the instructor and will be taught how to create a course of healing for clients.  This course will be a complement to Client Case Studies.

 

Color and Stone Healing Course

This course introduces students to the healing properties of color and the healing properties of sacred stones (e.g. crystal quartz, black tourmaline, etc.).  Students will be taught how to work with stones in layouts, how to program stones with a specific intention, and how to clear stones after sessions. 

 

Deep Tissue Manipulation

This course teaches students to be “muscle sculptors,” through a slow, gentle fascial manipulation technique intended to melt away stress, tension and trauma. This course teaches a deep, slow method of massage used in specific situations to correct imbalances in the musculo-skeletal structure and to alleviate pain. Students will be taught to use their fingers, elbows and knuckles as tools to sculpt and re-form the muscle tissue with firm constant compression.  Students will also learn how to identify tension lines in fascia and how they may influence other parts of the body to draw the body out of alignment, and how these may be corrected.

 

Energy Anatomy

This course trains students in energy anatomy (including structures such as the chakras, meridians, subtle bodies, hara line, nadis, karmic stream and the familial stream) as well as in some basic physical anatomy and pathology.  Students will develop their awareness of energy anatomy in theory and in practice, including symbology and physical/spiritual significances.  In addition, students will learn how to develop a sensory experience of energetic anatomy structures. Students will also be taught Universal Laws and how they affect energy flow.  

 

Energy Anatomy for H.H.P.’s This course trains students in energy anatomy (including structures such as the chakras, meridians, subtle bodies, hara line, nadis, karmic stream and the familial stream).  Students will develop their awareness of energy anatomy in theory and in practice, including symbology and physical/spiritual significances. 

 

Energy Etiquette

This course teaches the student how to manage their energy, to honor peoples’ boundaries and space, to modify their energetic presence in various situations and how people relate to each other energetically.  This course is invaluable for people wanting to build better relationships, improve their energetic presence, and create more positive outcomes in their lives.

 

Flower Essence Healing  

Flower essences are the liquid and energetic extracts of plants used for healing the mind, body and spirit.  They may be used to enhance soul development, to address emotional issues and to maintain well being. This course will teach the student how to use flower essences for specific health issues and to select the appropriate essences with muscle testing.

 

Healing with Herbs Herbs have been successfully used for thousands of years for healing a variety of different health problems.  This course will provide hands-on instruction based on herbal theory and usage from our experienced staff.  Some of course time will be spent wildcrafting herbs in the field, weather permitting.

 

Healing with Sound   Everything in the Universe has a vibrational frequency, and this frequency can be affected by other sounds.  In this course, students will learn about the many properties of sound and how it can be used to create a healing experience.  Some methods taught will be using your voice to heal, the power and energy of different rhythms, instruments, music and its healing properties, and toning as a healing tool.

 

HighSelf Resonance Therapy Level One

This transformational course introduces students to basic energywork techniques while encouraging them to activate their spiritual connection to create a powerful, intuitive healing experience for their clients.  Students develop their ability to read and sense energy, as well as clearing, charging, balancing and harmonizing their client’s energy flow.  Students also receive treatments in HighSelf Resonance Therapy in this course.  We will cover the following topics:  Creating and Holding Sacred Space, Preparing Yourself For Energywork, Your Healing Tools, Developing A Relationship With Your Inner Guidance, Being Centered, Facilitating Client/Healer Communication, The Flow of the Session and Healing Gateways.

 

HighSelf Resonance Therapy Level Two

Prerequisite course is HighSelf Resonance Therapy Level One.

Students will continue to develop their ability to sense and work with Divine healing energy in this course.  They will also learn more advanced healing techniques to encourage transformation in the client, such as Light and Sound Weaving, working Sacred Geometrics (blueprints of creation), bringing healing energy to the DNA, long-distance healing, and healing large groups of people.  This course will also deepen the student’s personal development as they continue to receive healing treatments in class.

 

HighSelf Resonance Therapy Level Three. Prerequisite course is HighSelf Resonance Therapy Levels One and Two.

This course presents an opportunity for HRT students to volunteer in the community.  Students will be providing HRT sessions in a variety of atmospheres and learning how to work with the public to develop communication, relating and healing skills with a variety of different populations, providing invaluable experience, insight and opportunities for growth.   Students will check in regularly with their supervisor to address any pertinent issues that may arise during their work.  This is a practical course.

 

HighSelf Resonance Therapy Level Four.  Prerequisite course is HighSelf Resonance Therapy Levels One, Two and Three.

This course builds on the prior training and growth process gained from earlier courses.  At this level, students have developed a facility and competence in HighSelf Resonance Therapy and are committed and dedicated to teaching this healing modality to others.  Students will learn how to teach the course through hands-on, speech and presentation training.  This course is required to teach this modality at CAHA or outside of the school.

 

Honoring Your Shadow

This course provides an in-depth exploration of the hidden agendas, fears and talents that make up our Shadow Selves and why we subconsciously react in our lives. Students will engage in exercises intended to develop an awareness of our “payoffs,” the justifications for unhealthy behaviors that dwell in our subconscious minds and motivate us to make unwise decisions in our lives. Additionally, students will learn to identify Shadow behaviors, talents, and preferences to unlock hidden energy and potential and to a have a more vibrant, magical life. Students may experience liberation and freedom from behaviors that obstruct them from accessing the core Self.

 

Importance of Ritual

This course teaches the student to understand ritual as a tool to help connect with the Higher Self, hence, the Divine.  We will use ritual as a means to enhance the student’s ability to perceive intuitively.  In this course, students learn about the benefits of ritual: its structure, focus, intention, and a framework for living.  Study of various historical and contemporary ceremonies will enable the student to understand and deepen their experience of creating Sacred Space and Divine Connection. 

 

Managing Your Swirl

During the course of living, we go in and out of balance.  The cause of these imbalances is a collection of negative thoughts, feelings and beliefs, which we affectionately call the “swirl.”  Students will learn how to recognize and release limiting patterns, ideas and belief systems. They will learn how to keep themselves in harmony and open energetically, despite life’s challenges.  If you are an energy-sensitive person who is easily affected by other peoples’ energy, this course will provide an excellent foundation for living a balanced life.

 

Managing Your Swirl for H.H.P.’s

Mind/Body/Spirit Connection

The connection between mind, body and spirit has only recently been acknowledged in the Western world, while in the East, it has been a cornerstone of health and well being for millennia.  In this course, we will explore and actively participate in this awareness by doing exercises to enhance the mind, body and spirit connection.  We will engage in forms of meditation, such as yoga, t’ai chi, chi gong, dance, guided visualization and sound toning as well as sitting meditation.  We will be participating in activities that enhance the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of ourselves, and their interconnection.  In addition, as a group, we will learn how to direct our positive intentions to empower ourselves and other people.

 

Nutrition and Cleansing  
Proper nutrition and cleansing are essential to good health.  In this course, students learn about nutritional components, eating habits, the essentials of proper digestion, Ph balance, healthy diets, immune enhancement, and what cleansing is and why it is so important to health. This includes a dietary protocol and cleansing protocols created by the instructor, Traditional Naturopath Dr. Norris Carr.

 

Reflexology

Reflexology is the healing modality focusing on the acupressure points of the feet and hands and how they influence and demonstrate the health of other parts of the body.  Reflexology truly operates under a principle of holistic health, which are that all things are connected.   Imagine helping someone simply by massaging their hands and feet in specific areas.  You will be trained to work the structures of the feet and hands to facilitate better health. The Egyptian Method TM taught at CAHA is unique because it is pain-free to give and to receive. Reflexology is also taught in the 100-hour program with systemic, emotional and long-distance Reflexology.

 

Reiki Level One Reiki Level One is an energywork modality that has the potential to provide comprehensive healing at many levels and at the level at which the recipient can receive it.  Students will learn hands-on treatments for themselves and others, as well as creative ways to bring in the powerful healing energy of Reiki to their lives.  This modality brings benefits that last for a lifetime.

 

Reiki Level Two

In Reiki Level Two, students deepen their experiences with and understanding of Reiki by learning how to send Reiki long-distance, through time and space to empower people, animals, plants, and situations.  They also learn how to use Reiki to heal subconscious thoughts and beliefs, and to break addictive behavior patterns.  Reiki is an extremely valuable and versatile energy that can be used in many ways.  Students also learn more Reiki symbols, especially Traditional Usui, Tibetan and Alternative Symbols.

 

Reiki Master Teacher. Prerequisite course are Reiki Level One and Two.

This course attunes the student to the Reiki Master level, and encourages a stronger level of commitment to and participation in the healing process on Earth.  The Reiki Master, upon completion of the course, will have an in-depth knowledge on the Reiki Keys, or Symbols, how to use them, how to heal large groups of people and how to direct healing intention. This training will also include in-depth training in Seichim Reiki. The intensity of Reiki at this level also strongly opens up the student to deeper levels of self-healing and gives them momentum to bring healing to core issues.  On an energetic level, Reiki at this level is much more powerful and the students’ ability to share this energy is greatly expanded.

This course also teaches the student how to give Reiki attunements and to teach Reiki classes.  We will cover the attunement process and its subtleties in great detail, as well as the art of teaching Reiki.  This will enable the students to teach their own Reiki classes and expand their career as an instructor as well as a healer.  Students will also understand the purpose of Reiki symbols and their application, as well as how to attune people with new symbols that are being revealed.  Students will also gain a greater understanding of how the attunement process opens people spiritually and how to work with this process to facilitate the most growth.

 

Relating to Your Guides

This in-depth course teaches the student how to connect with and develop a loving, positive, supportive relationship with their Spirit Guides.  Who are they, why are they here, and how can they make a difference in your healing work and your life?  Students will develop a co-creational relationship with their Guides to work as partners on the journey of life.

 

Relaxation and Visualization Techniques

The mind, body and spirit of a person should function as an integrated whole.  However, high amounts of stress can create tension that leads to lack of focus, fatigue and other health issues. Relaxation is an essential component of living a healthy, joyful life.

This course will cover basic relaxation exercises, calming techniques, tension release techniques and passive muscular relaxation techniques.  Visualization and deep relaxation techniques will enable the student to access deeply embedded belief systems and resources that they may use to create positive changes in their lives.  Additionally, the course will teach the student basic self-hypnosis techniques that may be used for behavior modification and to help restore health. Phobia releases will help students to be free from deep innate fears.

 

Retreats   Prerequisites vary based on the type of retreat.  See schedule for details.  Prices may vary according to retreat location.

Several retreats will be offered at various times of the year, and each retreat will have a different focus.  The Healing Retreat will focus on incorporating all of the energywork and massage techniques learned during the Trimester in a peaceful, spiritual atmosphere that will enable participants to achieve a deep level of healing.  There will also be retreats open to the public for those who would like get in touch with their spirituality.

 

Sacred Sites   This course teaches us about the basic tenets of energy flow through the Earth and how this flow may affect us.  We will also learn about energy vortices, their polarities and qualities and why visiting them may be beneficial.  We will explore various sacred sites in this class and their energetic properties.  We will also learn about energy grids on/in the Earth, and will energetically work on adding to our own crystal healing grid that has been in existence since the year 2000.

 

Shamballa Reiki.  Prerequisite course is Reiki Master Teacher Course.

This course teaches an additional branch of Reiki known as Shamballa Reiki.  This course provides an attunement in Shamballa Reiki, as well as training in the Shamballa Reiki Symbols and healing protocols for cancer and other health issues.

 

Shiatsu

Shiatsu is a Japanese modality involving pressure on the acupuncture points in order to balance the body’s energy and promote good health.  The student will learn the meridians and tsubos of the body and how to recognize if they have an excess or deficiency of chi (life force energy).  The definitions of yin and yang will be covered as well as Five Element Theory, Mother Hand/Son Hand, Passive Joint Movement and developing sensitivity to chi flow.  This form of massage is done on a mat and uses the Asian understanding of the meridians and acupuncture points to release tension and create balance and harmony in the body.

 

Spa Therapies Spa Therapies include training in body wraps, body polishes, and raindrop therapy, three very popular modalities currently used in spa massage. Expand your massage toolkit and your employability with this course.

 

Sports Massage

Sports Massage consists of three modules:  General Principles of Sports Massage, Upper Body, and Lower Body.  The General Principles module will cover the concepts of cross-fiber and friction massage, cramp relief, stretching techniques, Passive Joint Movement, pre- and post-event massage techniques, hypothermia, and sport injury avoidance.  The module for the Upper Body will take these principles and apply them to the shoulder girdle, back, neck and arm.  The Lower Body Module will cover the hips and legs.

 

Spiritual Healing   Spiritual Healing is a course designed to deepen your spiritual experience by giving you direct experience of yourself as an energetic and spiritual being.  This course teaches you to break through your resistance to a profound level of awareness of higher consciousness in the Universe, taught through meditation and practical exercises. 

 

Tui Na Massage

Tui Na Massage is a Chinese method of using techniques such as “fingerspringing,” “rolling,” “mo,” and “mot” to release blocked chi and restore harmony in the body.  This light, yet effective technique works at superficial and deep levels and can be used effectively for clients who cannot tolerate more invasive massage techniques (such as clients with fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue).  This method may be used to release trigger points and to deal with health issues in specific parts of the body (such as arthritis in a particular joint).

 

Understanding Trigger Points

Trigger points are locations in the body that send referred pain to other parts of the body.  In this course, the student will learn to recognize the predictable patterns of pain produced by trigger points.  Students will also learn to locate the trigger points causing the referred pain.  Class discussion will also include health issues associated with trigger points, how trigger points are created, and how to eliminate them. 

 

Understanding Psychology

This course gives the student a basic understanding of psychological treatment, theories of psychology, medications and why they are used and their effects.  Students will also be trained in psychological dynamics that take place with clients during sessions and how to recognize them.  They will also gain an understanding of psychological pathologies (such as Manic-Depression, Multiple Personality Disorder, etc.) so that they may refer out a client who is beyond their scope of practice.  This is an essential course to understanding the many psychological aspects of working with clients.

 

World Traditions in Healing  

This course will give the student an overview of how healing has developed over several thousand years and how healing modalities are practiced today.  Topics covered will include:  shamanism, acupuncture/acupressure, massage, chiropractic, homeopathy, osteopathy, naturopathy and energy healing. This course will give the student perspective on their own healing work and how it relates to the collective consciousness of healing worldwide.
